Interesting . . Difference in lap times for the varying brands is to me a very subjective comparison . . Very difficult to replicate all the conditions when testing with different track conditions and possibly different rider mindset . . Same rider different track conditions . .

Also I wonder what tyre development boffins really do . . Such a simple change and it has taken 50-60 years to get there? . . Maybe more a marketing ploy? Yes I am a cynical old bustard . .

The four marques of the PRs have been similar prices to other good tyres.  Only Shinkos have been noticeably cheaper.
While $450 for a pair of tyres is the same as I pay for four for the car, there's obviously more tech in the manufacturing.

I needed them at short notice - big screw - had to sell my soul for a day off - couldn't have happened on my days off of course

A few members either a) order their tyres and fit said tyres themselves saving a heap; OR b) order tyres only and take them to a tyre shop for fitting at a nominal charge. In both cases, many $$$ can be saved.

Not sure about this...I am all for getting the best tyres for my bike. But throwing lap times into the equation really makes no difference to me in the real world. When I need tyres I tend to go with the flow from the forum and source them. I am no expert so that works for me for a change................

Looks great to me. My Steed still has the OEM Battlaxs.  I might wait till the R5 arrives down-under (hopefully before June? lol) and grab a pair. In particular, better wet traction sounds good. I've had no slippery moments on the Battlaxs, but wet roads scare me.
