Helen and I are now unlikely attending, I have been suffering (fellas, you all know how bad a heavy cold, perhaps flu, can be) all week.  Got COVID tested, and cleared - so it's not that.

Unless there is a massive improvement by tomorrow, we won't be there.  This leaves a few loose ends:

  • Mark, I'll have to catch-up with you re. TPMS another time.
  • There is a double room with ensuite now available at Mac's for Sat night.
  • I have the VIC flag, someone can come via St Helena and pick it up?
  • Can someone bring my jars of strawberry jam home for me?
  • Can someone buy Kev the biggest lemon squash they have, and remind me to reimburse you later, please?

I have just confirmed the lunch booking for 15 for Michael from OzSTOC, so all should be well from that perspective.

Only one more sleep ...

Fingers crossed we'll see you and Helen tomorrow...from a distance though, as we don't want the dreaded lurgy...  :whistle  :Stirpot

Well, what a totally enjoyable day this RTE turned out to be!
The only sad bit was Sue & I turning up in the car instead of being on the bike.
With the rain holding off for pretty much the whole trip except for a slight sprinkle on the trip home I was soon regretting the decision to drive.
Oh well, hopefully we'll be on the bike for the next RTE to Moyhu...

It was great catching up with the regular & semi regular Victorian crew plus a few others such as Mark, Richard & Ella.  :thumbs

It was just a shame we had a couple of last minute cancellations...

The meals at Mac's Hotel were large, reasonably priced and delicious, well, the Aussie chicken Schnitzel was anyhow...and Sue had no complaints with her meal.

I think we'll be back sometime down the track...

Here are a few pics...As Michael was a non appearance along with the Victorian Flag, I've had to do some photoshopping of the only other flag available...apologies in advance... :whistle

Sounds like we missed a good RTE.

Saved me the effort.

JD, thanks for the offer, I'll be home most times, most days, may have to go to the office to swap over my laptop but can adjust times to suit you.

Will there be a charge?  I hope so, the least I offer is a cuppa, a biscuit and a chin wag.
Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

What can I say - What a great trip, what a great bunch of very welcoming OzSTOCer's, the weather held off heading to and from Mortlake, the accommodation and food was above par, Kev was exceedingly generous with the strawberry jam (I snuck it past the quarantine people) - thank you Kev!! Well done Rusty with the photo shopping, it looks like the real deal - I'm just a bit concerned that altering the best OzSTOC flag in the nation may have consequences at the 2022 National Rally  :Stirpot

Sounds like we really missed a good one.

Hope you have a better run with the flu than me, day eight now, but nearly over it.  Looking forward to a visit from JD with my jam.

.... Looking forward to a visit from JD with my jam.

OzSTOC couriers at their best, two jars of strawberry jam arrived this PM, courtesy of Kev then JD.  Thanks fellas, can't wait for tomorrow's breakfast toast and jam, but ...
