Following the successful congregation at the Naked Racer Cafe, is there interest in doing similar on 11th December

The cafe below was suggested at our last meeting.

Covid rules permitting of course.

I'd be interested but I suspect with lockdown going on it's unlikely that anyone will be able to go...
Perhaps we should think about it in a month or two?

Lets see what happens next week with restrictions. The RTEs in Aug and September are close together so we cant do the first Saturday in September. Or that could be three weeks in a row. Oh well.

We can probably do this at short notice as well. I will check for interest next week and see what happens.

Are people interested in this if lockdown is over. Not a lot of feedback so far.
Expressions of interest or not are welcome. If there is not much interest we will put it 9n hold for another time.

Yeah, I plan to be there, COVID and family commitements permitting. The former is dependent on a decision from State Government, the latter on a decision from a higher authority.

Re. the latter, this is in the middle of family birthdays, we usually have a family lunch on that weekend, this is usually on the Sunday, but it could be on the Saturday. Given the chaos we've experienced over the previous 18 months (or so) and as the best laid plans of mice and men have a habit of easily and quickly going astray, the family lunch will be on the Saturday. Even if it is on the Sunday, I'll be there Saturday sans Helen, as she will likely be preparing the Sunday feast.

Not sure about Sue coming at this stage as she may very much be flatout doing catchup lessons...

Time is flexible and I used the brunch term to differentiate with Regular RTE’s.

I t could be as early as 1030 or 11 for coffee and then lunch or just lunch. I dont mind so if anyone has a preference or a need speak up.
Russ do you know the place and whether we need to book. Probably not for 6 or so but if more come??

As for booking, if the weather isn't the best, I reckon it would be a good idea as they don't have a lot of tables indoors.

If we're happy to just sit in the park opposite, there is plenty of seating and even a closed-in bbq area...

Garry, as thread starter, only you or Admin can change the date in the first post heading. Re. a new date, I'm currently happy for Sat 14 Aug, if that doesn't work out, it can always be changed.

Re. Smeaton and Toora, they're far enough out to leave unchanged, for now.

I was thinking we could just cancel this one as the next two are quite close. Perhaps we could see who is able to do the 14th and if enough we could leave it on the calendar. JD and Chippy most likely wont be able to go to Swan Reach in SA. I can still make it on 14th.
Are others available. I can message the cafe when we see the numbers.

I should be okay for the 14th, not so Sue... as she's got a full day of lessons booked.

As for Swan Reach, I reckon that's gone even if the lockdown does finish in a week as the borders are never gonna open again with all this covid around...
