Just confirmed with Sue from the Jindi Cafe that we'll have 17 for lunch from 12:00 noon on.   Also, Sue advised that there will be some selections from the normal menu as well as Sunday Roast on Sunday's menu.

See yuse all on Sundee. It'll be good to see some of the old, regular faces as well as a couple of not so regular, and new faces.

Cheers ....

That's a shame, I was looking forward to meeting one of my "neighbours", relatively speaking...lol

Home at 4:30pm, a bit cooler via the hills, still topped 30C though.  Good turnout, 16 for lunch, and some lunch it was - a pork & lamb roast, heap of veggies followed by a slab of sticky date pudding, butter scotch sauce and whipped cream & ice cream, and then finished with a cup of coffee.

Thanks to all for attending, see ya'll at the next one.

We had a great day....with great food, great company & pretty much perfect weather, what more could one ask for?
Good turnout of ST's too...8 of them plus 1 very sad and lonely BMW... :whistle :p

Not wanting to drag the other bikes down with its inferior German engineering, the lone BM
was parked well away from all the ST's...

After saying our goodbyes and with plenty of the afternoon left, we decided to make the most of it so, instead of heading for home, we went for a further ride...

No prizes for guessing where we ended up!

Time for a snack & a Hot Chocolate before heading for home.

We arrived home just before 7pm, a bit weary and with slightly numb bums but with big smiles on our faces!

What a perfect end to a great day...  :runyay

Well, totally fantastic day. The food, the people, just outstanding. Great ride from my joint up thru the Junction on to Powelltown. Reset GPS `cause I hadn't spelt Jindivick correctly, maybe operator error, probably not though, or maybe!
OK change of pace, plan b , back to the freeway and move on to Cockatoo.
Takes me off highway, onto a gravel road, Dore Road and then Morrisons Rd , I say WTF?
About 6 k`s of easy gravel. Out thru the Cock, and onto home down thru Silvan.

Bike performed perfectly, no spares needed. Treat yourself. :grin

Sounds like it might be time for a new GPS, Nige!  :whistle
I think you needed to continue to Pakenham and then get onto either Army Road or the Healesville - Koo-Wee-Rup Road...

Anyhow, glad you negotiated the gravel okay and arrived home safely!  :thumbs

Thanks muchly, Leo!  :beer

After a few fairly intense days beforehand, meeting up with a great bunch of people & also blowing the cobwebs out on the bike was just the "fix" we needed...  :hatwave

100% agree. I also had Army Rd in mind, and expected it , but gremlins set in. So I go, OK. What could go wrong?
When I got home I realised I hadn't reset it back from dirt roads to sealed only. Got me a few times on that one, Mackay for one, springs to mind.
I also use it on my road/trail bike, that's in Rushworth, for exploring purposes. May invest in a second one............. :eek

Cheers Nigel!

We had a similar"glitch" with our GPS when we came home from FNQ recently.
Somehow the settings had been changed (perhaps from a recent update) so the gps was now avoiding tolled roads, not something we needed in the early hours of the morning while trying to find our way home from our airport parking...lol
Luckily I had a fair idea which way I needed to go so I ended up just ignoring the gps.

The lane closures and 40kph speed limits (due to late night roadworks) on the Monash ended up being a much bigger issue... :||||
