Failed Alternator 1998
« on: June 30, 2022, 12:28:26 PM »
Hi Everyone
My much loved ST1100 1998 has a failed alternator. My brother and I are starting the process of pulling the bike apart to remedy. A few things. I need to get the special tool needed for swing arm removal. And can anyone advise me about having the alternator rebuilt. I live in the Midwest of WA so any help would be greatly appreciated as there is no one in my location that can assist.

Regards

Chris Holt.

Welcome to the group!

For the swingarm tool I bought a cheap 2nd-hand 1-3/16 socket from a tool seller at the local markets and attacked it with an angle grinder.
