LED lightbar install
« on: November 14, 2022, 11:51:47 AM »
Hi all,

Just thought I'd share my LED lightbar install.

I'm looking to start commuting to work a bit more on the ST which means leaving for work in the dark, and with a 95km commute means I want better lighting than the standalone headlamp.

I had a Kings LED number plate mount light bar sitting around and mounted it under the headlamp using the existing screws and used a piggy back adaptor to pick up the high beam off the headlamp globe.

I like the lightbar option over individual lights mounted either side under the mirrors etc.

( I tidied up the power lead - the photos were taken prior to final fitment )

Looks like the bike now has a moustache!

Looks like it should provide a fair bit of moustache light :thumb

If you get a chance, can you show a photo of the light it throws down the road with just low beam and another with the moustache lit up for comparison?

It should be interesting :thumbs

Cheers

Hooley Dooley!  That's a lot of light!  Although my two spotties total 14 LEDs, so not much difference.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
