And yes, Brian, it was me who put that shine on it.

The weird part is, they don't mention the fact it has a cruise control, heated grips and Stebel airhorn. I would think they set it apart from a bike that has none of those extras.

No- the lights, sheepie and tank cover are gone, to name the obvious ones. Without the tank cover, the unmarked tank is revealed, ditto the seats.
You're right, Sicman, the CC and heated grips are obvious in the photo, to anyone like us who knows what the controls are.

I rode out for breakfast thinking it would burn off with the sunrise.
All my gear is now spread out on the rack in the garage.
It only got heavier as the morning progressed...

The V-Strom doesn't afford as much weather protection as the ST or Wing, I found.

May as well dismiss what I wrote above as it's all changed and probably change again by the time we get the NBN.

Though the NBN wireless has been switched on for outside the town built up boundary. Our house though is in line of sight of the tower but we have to wait for the FTTN service to be done; by end of June/July if all goes well.
