but it seems the winners had to supply 6 more bottles for some reason, probably so I can check that the award is justified

A fitting tribute on this day of remembrance of fallen police officers......

Whilst overseas conflicts and 'wars' attract much of the coverage, lets take today to pause and reflect on those that fight the battles on our streets every day.

The ones that you hate because they gave you a ticket, but the first you call when in trouble.

The ones in their 5th hour of work when you're in your 5th of sleep.

The ones you tell should be out catching the real criminals, when they're diverted from that because of something truly idiotic you did.

Men and women walk our streets every day protecting your way of life right here. Lets not forget them and those of them that paid the ultimate price for doing something that, for them, is so much more than a job.

It doesn't seem worthwhile to open up a new post for this.

On the 21st Jan I applied for work back up in the Port Hedland/Karratha area as Assistant Manager.

The store manager of the Port Hedland store rang me back on the 22nd and I find out we used work with each other when we were at Karratha. I rang the store today and I have one foot in the door and only waiting on the decision of the regional manager who is on holidays until the 10th of Feb.

Between now and then everything is on hold.

Cyclones, 40C plus temps, sub tropical weather, remote area as opposed to freezing winters and no work where I am now.

Excellent Al. If that's your thing, I hope you get it. Surely the other Manager will see that you're the best man for the job with your background and being an ST owner!!
