Stuff Stopper - Motorcyclelarry.com
« on: October 25, 2012, 09:16:41 PM »
Hi,

I'm going to order one of these

http://www.motorcyclelarry.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=377

from Larry, and they are $60US for one, and slightly cheaper for more. If anyone is interested, I'm getting some pricing for up to 5 to save a bit of postage, so if anyone is interested, let me know,

regards

I got one for the 1100 from over east some where, it works well. Instead of using ABS cement, I used silicon and used clips and clamps and blocks of wood to hold it until set. It hasnt fallen off yet.

This is a very good choice. On my second now and they really do keep the crud out of the complicated bits.

might be a bit cheaper if it fits the bike (abs v non abs)

I think this one is smaller than the MCL ABS one.
The MCL ABS one used to be available via a member of ST1300.US.Com who actually makes them.
I got mine through the ST1300US.com member.

Hi, yes, I'm on the US forum as well, and it's through Larry. His extenders are a bit longer than all the others, which suits me. They might cost a bit more, but from what I've read, worth the extra for the extra length. I don't mind the finish of them as well.

yes I would recommend the long one, MCL also sells a shorter one. As I said below the one you are looking at from what I can see is exactly the the same as the the one that I have posted the link above, did you open it?

Yes that's the one.

If I order one, it will be $60 inc postage, but for each one after than,  they are only $45 extra each, up to 5 of them. If there are more than 5 interested, I'll have to run that past Larry.
Anyone interested, let me know. I'll order in a week or so.

So are you buying from MCL or Larry as in "Blue One " on ST1300.US.com?

Larry, the blue one. I just used the MCL link for reference.

All makes sense now.
I used ABS glue to fit mine and added three screws to hold it in place while the glue went off. The ABS glue was a little hard to locate and expensive but is very good but goes off very quickly like the glue for PVC pipes.
