 :'( :'(

Unfortunately I am now a non-starter as well. Between work ( a four letter word ) and lack of finances, I now have no chance of getting to Ballarat.  :well

There will be a single bedroom "Miners Cabin" available as well, as I had one booked.

That's where you trust the organisers.  They haven't let us down yet, and the guys at the helm, once again, are goodies.
You can be sure of an interesting ride and an entertaining dinner.  Plus surprises.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Add another two names to the Qld list please Streak.
The Boss just decided we are coming along - nice having a daughter living in Melbourne - it's a good bait for trips south.
Now to start the search for accom with Big4 seemingly booked out.

One thing I would like to do at the rally( besides being the only one from Tassie at the moment ) is to get a list of motorcycle friendly Hotels between Melbourne and Brisbane so I can plan a trip up to Brissy to see my family.

Ahhhh, the flood gates will open on this one.  Which route are you taking?   Makes a big difference.........

Some of the pubs I've stayed at, and would again.

Along the coast route, Princes Highway - Pacific Highway:

#   Bruthen Inn Hotel (at Bruthen), around $40.00 per head, continental breakfast, under cover parking (in the beer garden) on a quite night and if Stretch (the publican is in a good mood, and she usually is), 500m walk to Bullant Brewery.

#   Grand Hotel (Bega), around $40.00 per head, no breakfast, under cover parking, no Brewery.

#   Commercial Hotel (Milton), around $40.00 per head, no breakfast, under cover parking, no Brewery.

#   Argyle Hotel (Maclean), around $40.00 per head, no breakfast, under cover parking, no Brewery, short walk to Bowls Club and fantastic Chinese smorgasbord.

#   All hotels in South Grafton to be avoided at all costs, especially the Great Northern.

Hume Highway - Olympic Way - Newell Highway - New England Highway

#   Boomerang Hotel (Lavington, suburb of Albury), around $70.00 per double (have not stayed there solo), no breakfast, no under cover parking, no Brewery, good pub meal.

#   Australian Hotel (Yass), around $40.00 per head, no breakfast, under cover parking, no Brewery, good pub meal.

#   Culcairn Hotel (Culcairn), around $40.00 per head, no breakfast, under cover parking, no Brewery, good pub meal.

#  Henty Bed & Breakfast (Henty), around $40.00 per head, fantastic breakfast, under cover parking, no Brewery, no evening meal.

#   Murrumbidgee Hotel (Narrandera), around $30.00 per head, no breakfast, under cover parking, no Brewery, good pub meal.

#   Prince of Wales Hotel (Gulgong), around $80.00 per double (have not stayed there solo), no breakfast, no under cover parking, no Brewery, great pub meal.

#   Great Central Hotel (Glen Innes), around $30.00 per head, no breakfast, under cover parking, no Brewery, long walk to RSL and best Surf & Turf in NSW.

#   Top Pub (Uralla), around $30.00 per head, no breakfast, under cover parking, no Brewery, good meal, biker discount.

I'm tired, that's enough for now.

Mmmm, I think I'm a pi55-head.

 :beer

Though not a pub but worth a stay, if you got a tent or can get an on-site van, is the Gwydir Caravan Park and Thermal Pools at Moree,  Amaroo Tavern short walk and the hot pools is just-the-thing after a long day's ride.
...... Has been all set up and ready to go in each State/Territories section under "Food and Accomadation", now we just need to keep adding to it  o:) HINT GUYS  o:)
Forgot about that, must add a few more .................. one day.

Please add me to the list of attendees and another ST1300 for the BIG PHOTO. As for accommodation I was wondering if anyone had a spare bed in a cabin to help share costs or if anyone was interested in sharing one of the last cabins available. Just let me know in the next week or so.
