This is an idea I've been playing for this RTE.

BP North at 8:00 for 8:30 departure. Meeting in the Northern end of the Car Park just past McDonalds.

Approx 2 hours riding time, with a Morning Tea stop at The Edge Restaurant Montville and then onto Boreen Point for lunch.

when I lived on the sunny cST I used to use the OBI OBI Rd a lot coming from Gympie to Mapleton.

select Eumundi-Kenilworth Rd from the drop down option coz the maps going down the Bruce inSTead

WARNING
The DOWN hill was DIRT but the UP HILL is tar,, so a suggeSTion for a return UPHILL route

Yep, I know downhill Obi Obi is dirt. I've done it once on the ST, in the dry. It is a great run up though. I chased an R1 up there some months back.

I'm planning on going from Montville to Mapelton and then down the range to Nambour, then a quick squirt up the highway and off at Cooroy to get to Boreen Point. Unless IanB, (Mapelton local) comes up with a better idea.

I'll try to get to BP North Burpengary by 8.30, but if I'm not there by then, ride on! (coming from Burleigh Heads - about 1 Hr 30 mins before I get there - an early morning)

Landsborough just over the rail lines at 8:50-9:00am? I will join up there and head up for brekky and on for lunch... Will be good to get out on the road again after a long lay off.

That little stretch of dirt road is ok. I have ridden it a few times so long as it is dry it is fine.

Yep, I can do that. If I don't catch you on Old Gympie Rd roundabout at Landsborough. The map showed you were going up Steve Irwin Way. The Old Gympie Rd is a better ride. One way or another I will see you there

Bumped into Ianb today who invited me. As I'm in Noosa I can meet at the edge, that is if I can scrape the ice of the blue angel.

I've had to glue the numbers under 20 degrees back on the thermometer.
