I'd rather have ABS.  It'd be a real bastard trying to lane filter with the outriggers on the non-ABS version.

Surely the straight line stop is ABS.
The lock-up would cause all the slewing.
I did the emergency stop exercise on a training day.  We had to stop in a box about 4 metres long from 80 kph.
The ST did it comfortably.  The rest smoked their rears and over-shot.  All were lighter than the ST13.

And the ST can get back to 80 in another 4 metres

I think the stopping distance with the outriggers is acceptible  Why wouldn't you grab a ridiculous handful of brakes, lock the wheels up to tip the bike over and have a bit of fun just because you can?  It would be interesting to see what the rider would have done without the outriggers. It's a p*ss poor comparison but having said that the ABS is always a fantastic backup for a skill misfire (unless you are on gravel heading downhill towards a bend, then you might be better off without it.
