Why I am called Bikeybowler
« on: April 24, 2013, 10:16:45 PM »
:blk13 I have played lawn bowls for some 45yrs - coaching juniors & seniors at all levels of the game. Started in the UK in Kent and Essex before moving to the Shetland Islands for 27 years. That is where I first started biking and used my first bike for travelling to/from games. Moved to the Isle of Wight where I got my first ex police 1100 changed to a Deauville before returning to  my current ST1300A. Shipped bike over to Oz in 2012 and now use it mainly for travelling to bowls matches in the Perth WA region. Am planning to move to Melbourne Jan 2015 and will ship bike there to carry on with my bowls / coaching.

Good choice of bike.  You'd fit a couple of bags of bowls into the panniers.  Can't do that on many lesser bikes!
Welcome to the asylum.  We, the inmates, have the keys!
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

G'day BikeyBowler - welcome aboard.

Great to see you on here - there's plenty of your countrymen and ex-pats around to rave with as well.

Enjoy the vast library of info we have built on this fine marque, and hit up the brains trust for anything not covered as yet.

Thanks for the intro.      :thumb
