Good to see you've convinced Helen to come, Michael!  :grin

Re the weather, at least it's not supposed to be hot...top of 20c with maybe 15% chance of rain around lunch time-ish....but that will probably change come the weekend!  :popcorn

My go to place in Melbourne was the Bell Breakfree in Preston but that has since closed...

Probably condemned and shut down by OH&S if the state of our room and surrounding corridor was an indication of the rest of the building when we stayed there around 5 years ago. What a dump!  :o

Sounds like you're off the bike and into air-conditioned comfort, before the heat hit.  See you in the morning.

I'll be leaving the Ampol St Helena, 307 Diamond Creek Rd, Plenty VIC (about 20 - 25 minutes from you) at around 9:30am with Aussie Doug, if you want some ride company.

I'll be well out of here by then.  Weather permitting I'll probably put the  drone up in a few places before lunch.

Not sure which route you're taken, if drones are permitted here, or even if you're interested, but this is a spectacular bit of coast.  It might be worth some footage or stills.

A lovely couple of hours was had by all in spite of the weather not being particularly great...
Thankfully only very light occasional drizzle was encountered on our short ride down, well, as far as Sue & I were concerned anyhow.

Nice to see Kev making the long journey from Portland and "Bodø" making an even longer journey from South Oz to attend...Good stuff guys!

Unfortunately a shower of rain during lunch had made the roads a bit wet on the trip home but the drizzle had mostly cleared so Sue & I decided
to take the long way back home via the coast road to Inverloch before heading to Leongatha and then back to Korumburra.

Yet again thanks go to Michael for arranging this RTE and more thanks go to all that made the effort to attend!  :runyay

Hi, Guys and Gals,
I haven't posted in a while as my dearly beloved keeps reminding me.
So to add to Rusty's post, I would just like to thank everyone for making the effort to come to the RTE on a bit of a miserable weather day. I found it pleasant after the hot days we have had recently. It was nice to see everyone again and I would like to mention that the food and beverages were delicious at the Tavern, especially that lemon dessert. It was heaven.  See you all again soon.  :13Candy

Home at 4:30pm for me.

Weather was okay, despite a heavy shower whilst we were having lunch, we stayed dry.

Heavy traffic congestion and delays at Kilcunda due to the Lobster Festival on the way to Cape Paterson.  Avoided that on the return by taking an inland, hilly, curvy route from Dalyston to Bass via this route - https://goo.gl/maps/SkHuCwdg6mcWse5N9.  Some real sweet twisties along the way, will be worth a re-visit sometime soon.

Heavy traffic on this section of the Bass Highway / South Gippsland Highway https://goo.gl/maps/SkHuCwdg6mcWse5N9.  I think Kev, Doug & I set a new lane splitting record.

Thanks to all - Bodo, Rex, Debbie, Vera, Jonathon, Lawrence, Kev, Denis, Dianne, Chris, Garry, Sue, Russell & Doug for their company.

Many NatRally pins distributed, I still have a few to distribute.  Let me know if one is yours.
