Title: National Rally Spot Links 2015
Post by: Cerebral Knievel on March 15, 2015, 10:25:19 PM
Thought it might be a good idea to put all the spot links in one place so they don't get lost in the National Rally thread

Yep im home

Lost control of bike at 40kms or less (Roadworks I was warned about) . I think the tyres mudded up and sideways she came. Soon after the water truck

The people behind me said nearly got it back , but then I hit dry ground and got thrown.
Did the hip and shoulder roll . The leatherman hurt the most
Helmet doesn't look like it hit the ground

Will see how I feel in the morning
But right now I feel like Sht.

Roadworks!  Hate 'em for many reasons.  They don't have to be as bad as they are but unfortunately they're a fact of life.

I've heard it said before it's what's in your pockets that will hurt you when you hit the ground.  A good reminder at Gavo's expense.
I guess at least if you come off on roadworks there's a strong likelihood the ground will be softer than bitumen.
Trust you're feeling like having another go, Gavo, but it's a long way to carry bruises.

Was interesting to REALLY look at StinkyPetes bubbler.......had time for spot of fishing off the South Island of NZ.......then wandered all over the Caravan Park at Moree boob trapping the perimeter and a nice meal at the Tavern.....even used the stall in the men's room second from the left  o:)

The moral of the story I guess is turn the app off when you reach your destination  :crackup

You're right about the second one.  I'll edit it out.

But the first one shows it all for the next 30 days when SPOT takes it down.
I need to debug my Spotwalla account.  I had an email from them which indicated they'd lost my SPOT link.  I thought I'd fixed it, but that's 'puters and the net for ya!
(Spotwalla picks up the data from "FindMySpot" and presents it differently and "permanently").

Gavo is at Cocklebiddy, now to see if he stays there or goes to Caiguna. Its only 40Ks away.

What ever he does, its only 11 or 12 hours to home depending on length of stay at fuel/rest stops.

So the sweep starts at 1800Hs tomorrow.
