I had a pillion Saddle done by John for the Yamaha V-Star 650 Cusom, which I had before the ST1300.

The wife said it was very comfortable.   :thumbsup

The price was very reasonable too.   :grin

I've seriously been considering taking the ST to see him for the riders saddle/

Cheers,

Notice how he cants the seat back a little.  Honda OEM seat tends to tilt your butt forward.  That's part of the secret for the comfort he achieves.

If John can't help you, his brother, Andrew, at Chapel Hill does the same work (from home).  He built me a dual seat for my ST1100P from scratch for $600.  Not just a reshape- a dual seat from the base up.  He covered it in black plastic and said "Go ride 1000 kays and bring it back."  He then noted the imprint I'd left and contoured the seat to match it.  Then he covered it with a basket-weave vinyl.  That's customising for you!

Sorry, can't find his number.  John would give it to you if you needed it badly enough.  He does mail order the same as John does, but you don't get the benefit of the "reshape".
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

I've started the process of getting John to mod my seat for me...can't stand the board that Honda call a seat any longer!! I'll put up pics once it's done!
