And of special interest.... Kenn rides an ST1300 and he is known at the Redlands Ulysses as the ' FaSTer PaSTer'' where he is our welfare officer.
Both Kenn and Andrea are keen advocates for motorcycle safety and their Ned's wear do work and work well as I know of two people who had an off and if it weren't for the Ned's gear they were wearing it would've been messy.
And no I have no investment in their company, just like products that work. Ask Marissa about the other brand...

I posted elsewhere that they are Australian made.  I checked my pair and blow-me-down, the Chinese have done it again!
The reason I thought they were locally made was Missus Ned is a pattern cutter by trade, and they designed their product, and I thought, assembled it here in Brisbane.
However, as we well know, the Chinese will build things for next-to-nix!
Ah well, as you say, at least it's not Coles or ALDI sending the profits offshore.  The Fasta Pasta is a good bloke who gives discounts to Ulysses members as well.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

I thought I'd add my own experience with NEDS. I bought a pair of NEDS Revolver in July 2011 from the only place that sold there here in WA (in Dwellingup). I liked them alot and have worn them almost every day since.

On the trip from Perth to Middleton for the '13 rally, while throwing my leg over the seat, they ripped across the rear of the right leg, just below the pocket. It appeared the denim had torn, but not the Kevlar (see photo).

I rang NEDS and spoke to Andrew who we very helpful. She informed me that they hadn't dealt with the place I bought them for quite some time (possibly before I bought them), and that the Revolver were no longer in production. Anyway, we concluded that I needed to ring the store first to see what they might do (being the retailer) - even though they were out of the 12month guarantee.

Not surprisingly, the store in Dwellingup weren't interested and bounced me back to NEDS. Another quick conversation with Andrea and the receipt and Revolvers were on their way to her for checking by their techncians. A few days later I got an email from Andrea saying that while they were beyond their guarantee, NEDS would replace them free of change with a new pair of Kelly Cargos (since they couldn't supply the Revolver) as a gesture of good will.

They arrived about a week later and I'm now very pleased with the outcome.... it could have cost me another $200+.

So, big-it-up for NEDS - their customer service was brilliant.

Cheers, Rob.

Doesn't make you feel good when someone, like Neds, goes beyond the corporate legal stuff on warranties, and does a deed like replacing out of warranty stuff.

Ya gotta tell the world and give them all the free advertising you can.

Nice story, Rob.

I had a pair of Draggins tear across the front of the leg above the knee.  The never responded to my messages, and I won't buy Draggins again because of their apparant "Don't Care" attitude towards a customer.

Well Done Neds for service that goes above and beyond.

I know both Andrea and Kenn personally ..... They are good folk ... Their business NEDS wear was born out of their passion for motorcycling and more importantly the safety of riders from all demographics.
Incidentally Kenn is a fellow ST pilot and is referred to as faSTer paSTor due to his association with the ministry.
Maybe you should 'pay it forward' .... Let the goodwill florish.

:thumb  I reckon they are the most comfortable bike pants I've owned. No sewn in patches of Kevlar. Its woven into the denim.
Excellent stuff backed by excellent service by the sound of it.

My experience with NED'S:

Bought myself a set of the top of the range Ironhorse jeans for National Rally trip, after a couple of phone calls and a measuring tape, my jeans turned up in the mail.

I have to say they where brilliant, best riding jeans I have ever owned, no seams, no patches of Kevlar, made all the difference on the trip for me, 5,200km trip I wore the, for most of it, I put my old riding jeans in the bin after the trip.

They are also supporters of the club, and the national rally  :thumb

Cannot recommend them more highly....

Thanks Brian. I told a mate to look them up somewhere in Capalaba.  :crazy  Whoops.
I'll point him in the right direction now. I got mine from their stall at the Show & Shine last year.
Cheers.

They cite ill-health as the reason.  Might have happened suddenly, since they had a stand at the Ulysses AGM.
