electrical connector corrosion

 :(
I took all the left hand faring off to gain access to the accessory electrical outlet tucked in under the tank and discovered that water has been sitting in the silicone connector cover causing a lot of corrosion. It was bad enough that one wire in the accessory block broke off as I moved it. I opened up all the blocks and cleaned them as best I could then sprayed them with an anti corrosion spray before adding my GPS wiring. I also cut off the silicone cover and reversed it on the harness so that water should not get in from now on. I have re-attached it using a small ziptie then black tape to shut it off. Has any one else had this problem? Should I report it to Honda as it could be a major problem if it is widespread. Sorry I didn't think to take photos as I was quite distressed at seeing it. This could cause all sorts of weird electrical faults later if not fixed. I've posted this on the USA site as well to see if they have had any instances.
