I'm looking at buying a bigger diameter tyre as I'd like to drop RPM at speed, I'm currently running the standard 170/60 17. I'd like to try a 170/70 17 or maybe a 180/60 17 but I'm a bit concerned if the tyre will fowl on anything. I used a wider profile tyre on my old ST1100 and it rubbed on the swing arm so I'm not sure how much room is available without rubbing on the bikes frame.
Has anyone tried a bigger diameter tyre? If so what size?
