Thanks Abe,

Those schematics are great.

this is just what I need, before I start to tear into dismantling and eventually buggering something up, Now at least I might be able to sort out the logic of the mess that I have.
Would you be able to post any more info please?
Is there a link available to access that manual?
Cheers ,

Hi Winston66,

I got a 28 page "Police Component Location Guide" when I purchased the bike.

Most of the pages cover "how to" take the plastic off.

Some of the photocopies aren't the greatest, though.

I will scan and convert to PDF relevant pages (11 pages) and post them tonight.

THIS IS 1 OF 4 DOWNLOADS

I (read current wife) had to make this into 4 separate files, so download/view each one.

If you have a problem just PM me with a private email address and I will send them to you.

I am easily confused,

Somewhere I see a mention of a switch  No.6  but I do not see it itemized anywhere, is it somewhere special.

Not sure if the 1300 had a switch 6, but on the 1100 its on the left hand side of the fairing just behind the pocket, alongside the hazard light switch

Hi Brock,
Thanks for that, on  my 1300 P the hazard light switch is in the LH. handle bar and there is a small spring loaded toggle beside it .I presume that it is a momentary on operation, If that is correct, what is its purpose?

Cheers, winston66

No Idea Winston, Perhaps if you post a pic, some one will be along soon with an answer. My bike is the 1100, so not so familiar with the 1300. It may be a transmit switch perhaps.

It may be a transmit switch perhaps.

It would be great if it was.  The ones that wrap around the grip are a pain.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

After spending some time going through the articles posted by Abe I am 99.9% certain the police wiring looms for 11 & 13 are identical including same colour wiring.

I always assumed they would be the same Yorkie, as it made sense to be as they both were fitted with the same equipment.
