ok, more pics.. suspension this time
also ordered a pair of shocks of Ebay to suit small quad..
adjustable spring pre-load and shorter than the CB250 ones which were 320mm long, these are 260mm which means i can stand them up straighter... about 80 to 90mm of travel which should do.
swing arm suspension...
stuff a bit of 25mm RHS down the hole in the cut down stub axle, weld a bit of 30mm RHS on the end in line with the axle, fabricate the rest as required... the cross bars are to stiffen it to stop twist.
used 22mm x 12mm nylon trailer spring bushes for the pivots... put the bushing tube all the way across to square everything up, then cut it down after..
next is mounting plates and bolts etc...
all the while, using the wheels against the trailer frame to line them up, squared to the ground, centred on the frame... hopefully it tracks true
