Collie Motorplex Vintage Bike Racing August 10th and 11th

Greetings all ... I've been a bit busy with my new career change but still have the love for all things motorcycle related .

On the August weekend 10th and 11th there will be vintage bike racing at the Collie track and having been out for a look on many occasions I can recommend it .

Being 200 k from Perth , Collie is an ideal day trip with a few options for the return journey .

I work Saturday night but will be mobile about 12.00 midday so could meet up with a few of you in town if anybody is interested .

I think every one has been a bit busy with the border run, and an RTE on 18th.  Beyond that, I hardly know what Im doing till the boss tells me..

I'm back that weekend, and will try to make the trip on Sunday, would like to go to Harvey also. How about you other WA riders?

Got some work to do on saturday, so maybe up for ride sunday,if all goes to plan.

Still good to meet at the Caltex in Collie at 12.00 Sunday and go out to Motorplex  for a squizzy  any takers ?

should be ok for that, hopefully the rain will hold off, Whats the motorplex? does it cost anything? are they racing or is it just a display?

Collie Motorplex is a black top race track and has a drags strip with some of the old Ravenwood Drags set up .

They have drift days , motor racing , bike track days , police training , Super Motard State Titles a few years back , Vintage bikes .

Who ever hires the track for the day , sometimes free or $10 , vintage racing usually free entry .

Weather looking ok, will set off around 9am should be with you by 12, see you at Caltex.

Thanks Silky, we had a great time at the rally, very interesting to see both classic and new race bikes together. We had an eventful trip on the way back and got lost twice.      but we eventually found collie again, got a bit wet but back home safe and sound.

Cheers Pete , you must have missed the turn off at the end of the first straight .

Some of the old bangers were doing quicker laps out there too (ridden by old guys with more experience no doubt )

I'll post up when the next meet is on and we may get a few more lookers next time .

Free admission and a good bike crowd at the track makes for a good day out , was good to meet you .
