I might actually be able to make this one, Western Power have decided they need to do " Essential Network Maintenance " on that day.

:fp We will have no electrickery on a Sunday!!

:think1 Be a good excuse to go for a ride, now all I have to do is save up a few pennies for fuel. ( I work for Startrack ( Auspost ), and the cuts actually started a few weeks ago ).  :well

I will be heading up Gt Northern Hwy to Bullsbrook, from there onto Wandena Road, then to Muchea East Road which becomes Chittering Road and then back onto the Highway, Through Bindoon and up to New Norcia .....

""

On the way back, Alby has told me of a new road that cuts down from Bindoon and ends up on Obrien Road ...   WOW: So that will be my return trip.

I'm a definite maybe....................... Only managed to ride the bike twice in the past 3 months, last time was last Sunday, and needless to say, the battery was flat. Managed to jump start it and then rode onto Perth, about 24 k's, had breakfast with some BK mates and an hour later had to get a push start cause the battery was flat again. The battery is only 2 years old and I had no prior problems so I'm wondering if the lay-up may have caused some trouble in the alternator or if it could be time for a new battery.

Any suggestions you electricery gurus.

Do you have a trickle charger or C-Tek?
Where are you located ??? I have C-Tek I could lend you to see if that rejuvenates the battery.
PM me if you like. I travel around the city a fair bit.

pezzz, you could possibly walk to Daves house, not far from the centre of Midland.

Dave, I just bought a Ctek charger from Battery World, it was advertised at $99 but the bloke sold it to me for $79. Repco then advertised the same one for $49 just after I bought the one from Battery World.

The good thing about it is that you can leave the wires on the battery and the charger just plugs into a 2nd set of wires that you leave connected to the battery.

When the bike is left for long periods of time, leave the charger on and when you want to go for a ride, just pull the plug off the battery and off you go.

Dave, the Bike needs to be started at least every two weeks and run for ten min or so to keep the battery fresh. Or get one of those ctek type things to trickle charge/monitor the battery.
