12V Usb Port to suit Motorcycle
« on: April 11, 2014, 07:06:28 PM »
Hey Guys,

I know a few of you have been looking for a  12volt usb port for your phones ETC  Just bought a Narva one on Ebay for 16 bucks including postage. Link is below.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NARVA-TWIN-USB-SOCKET-FLUSH-MOUNT-CARAVAN-IPHONE-SMARTPHONE-PDA-DC-81134BL-4X4-/301074343546?pt=AU_Electronics_Portable_Audio_Accessories&hash=item46196de67a&_uhb=1

I plan to put it in one of the pie warmers after I insulate it.

Take care

Just bought one as well. Have dealt with this bloke before, got my electric brake controller from him. This means I can start looking to make my mount for the GPS and the Phone.   :wht11 :thumbs

I am installing mine in the left hand hand pocket where the previous owner had a stereo.

The hole is already there and I am assuming that because he had a stereo there that a phone will be ok  with the heat but we all know about assumptions.  Did they ever make a stereo option for the St like they do for the beemers? I seem to remember the previous owner saying it was a factory stereo.

Where will you connect to the wiring harness?

I often put my phone in the left hand pocket and charge it while riding and using it as a GPS.  It gets hot, but keeps on working.

There was a Honda factory radio available in the US. As with the Honda heated grips, it would have used the quartet harness, which used fuses already on the bike.
