Lithium Motorcycle Batteries
« on: July 08, 2012, 11:51:39 AM »
I saw these "Lithium Motorcycle Batteries" being mentioned on the ww2.my-mc site so did a search to see if they are available here and they are. Prices are a bit steep but if they last twice as long as a normal battery then it may be comparable in cost.

There maybe other suppliers but my interest was for availability over here only.

On their list of cases, there is none that suits the ST1300. The Schorai website lists LFX18A1-BS12 for the ST1300. Maybe one on the local list is for the 1100.
The weight reduction looks good as I ride max almost all the time and every gram matters.

Hi, if you go to the link on my post and look at case one beneath the video you will see the 1300 number you quoted in the drop down menu

The 1100 is under case six which LFX21A6-B12

I got directed to another Aussie link which may be cheaper

http://www.ssbpowersport.com.au/Home.aspx

From a quick model seach it seems they offer the same battery for both 1300 and 1100 models. There's no direct link to lithium battery from the bike search function but a phone call would clarify the right one.
