Title: Rear brake bracket 99 st1100p bent
Post by: mikan13 on September 29, 2022, 05:49:01 PM
Just wondering if anyone has had a rear caliper bracket bent causing rear pads to bind on disc, just went to Honda for replacement part and there are none in stock in Honda at all and on back order.  Is it possible to get this bracket through another parts supplier, part number I have been given from Honda is 43110MAJGAI.

Any help grateful.

That sure looks like it and nothing like the Honda dealer quoted $(270) they are currently out of stock globally in Honda and no date to resupply, Thanks ruSTynutz thats my solution tight there. :wht11

I have just had a look at the 1100 breakdowns ( several years) and the mounting bracket is part of the whole assembley, and not separately identified..

Thanks everyone for your input and especially ruSTynutz I have purchased the new item you found and will be delivered 10 Oct and cost $213 delivered, was going to take the secondhand one but was worried it might be bent like mine.

Thanks heaps I will sleep easier tonight... after a few rums!!   :wht11

That's good to hear, Mikan13!  :clap

Good thing you didn't rush into buying the secondhand one I linked to because, as Leo pointed out, it was for a ST1300...

Enjoy your rum!  :beer

Where the caliper attaches to the bracket there was a 5mm deviation to the left when bolted on the bike, I talked to the Honda dealer and he said it was not uncommon but had no idea how it got bent but did say that bracket was on other bikes under a different part id.
