Hi, I've just bought a 1995 ex police st1100, now third owner at 120000km
PO was a cfa mechanic, so in relatively good condition , belt changed, tappets done etc
I'm 67, sold up 2 Velocettes and a 2009 Moto Guzzi Breva 1200cc
Got to admit the Guzzi was faster and stopped better.
I've bled the front brakes to replace fluid and taking on another ride today

Welcome to the forum.  You are in the right spot for anything you need to know about your bike no to meet up with others who enjoy their bikes.

Congratulations on the ST11.  Of course the Guzzi would be sportier.  But at our age we're don't need to break any more records.  What we're looking for these days is ample power back up by top reliability.  You're home is here!

Took for 350 km ride yesterday, great ocean road etc
Great ride, don't need to lower footpegs
May need new cush drive rubbers eventually (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190106/86c1628861861a61351de5e58184af28.jpg)

Nice looking Guzzi in the background.    :thumbs

The only thing I found regarding leg comfort was the tendency to get sore knees from the "knee rests" in the cowling.  I ended up putting firm sponge rubber there because the knob below the patella used to get sore.  I'm 182cm so that would be a factor.  Clark Rubber have a black material that worked for me.
