The outside ones are indicators and the inner ones brake lights which strobe. They are fantastic for grabbing the eye of a cager and making them get off my ar$$e. :law The construction was by a young gentleman who wishes to remain in the background ;-) But he did a great job. I wanted a bar that was hidden under the top box so as not to take away from the natural lines of the bike. Yes it is powder coated and bent by hand. The brakes lights & indicators came from MCL. The ram ball can hold a video camera and the hole on the right side can fit a helmet lock or be used for an aerial mount if wanted.

The setup looks great, and very visible. Any chance of links to the various bit? I just happen to have a rear bar only holding an aerial at the moment.

Here is the link to the turn indicators. They are just flashing solids but that makes them stand out and not get blended into the strobing brake lights like some other setups I have seen.

Don't forget strobing brake lights require a mod to the cruise control or it won't work.

These look exactly like what I've been looking for to put on my antenna bar.
What was the freight costs?

Ehh :think1 - Soon as you tap your brakes cruise disengages so no mod was needed :wink1

MCCruise warn of an issue when using led brake lights, you would have to check with them to see if what you are using would interfere. The 3 way Hyperlight from MCL is safe to use with CANBUS (does not affect most of us) and ABS. I have been using some led brake lights on both the 1100 and 1300 (mounted in the top box) without issue for some years now. I originaly checked with MCCruise about my set up and was informed that I would be ok and that has been the case. I am of the opinion that there would only be a concern if you replaced the normal brake light bulbs with led replacements and no diode in the line, but then again I really have no idea except what has worked for me.
You are correct with the tap of the brake and the MCCruise turns off, I think the issue was that the leds did not send the correct signal back to the control to actually turn it off, which is what Biggles was saying, again I could be wrong >:()

It is possible that the LEDs didn't draw enough current, so the McCruise didn't register it.

That reminds me - I think Stinky Pete had an issue when he changed his rear bulbs to LED but then changed back to resolve the issue
The problem was that when I fitted LED tail/brake and indicator light globes, the flash rate went far too high, and the reflector for the tail/brake lights did not interface with the change of light globe shape and thus the light showed as a single bright spot. My aim was to have brighter tail, brake and indicator lights, but the experiment was a failure, as the globes were indeed brighter, but in the end were not as good as the originals.

The additional LED brakelights shouldn't affect the MC cruise as long as your normal brake light globes are incandescent, the cruise will be OK. MC cruise use the brake light globe as an earth reference and when you install LED globes, it loses that reference. There is a fix if you really want to use LED globes in the brakelight and I have all the info here if anyone needs it. I got it downloaded before MC cruise stopped making all that stuff available.

If you want to replace your indicators with LED bulbs, you need to replace the flasher can with an electronic one. Then it wont matter what the bulb is, the flash rate will stay correct

I mounted my extra brake/blinker lights under the "shade" of the top box so they stood out more, at certain times of the day of course.
But any extra warning/indicators are of benefit to the rider I think (ADR approved of course :whistle)

After much :cuss and fiddling, rewiring the indicators, and running a wire to the Brake circuit, they are fitted.

Looks good Gary, a suggestion would be to get a controller to have the lights on at half brightness all the time and then on to full brightness with the break light. (and possibly flash for three or four times and then stay on)

I have thought of having them on as Tail lights as well. About half brighteness. I've thought of using either a voltage regulator or variable speed oscillator to pulse them on and off at a high rate to dim them. If I make it variable I could adjust the brightness.
I'm still not sure if I like flashing brake lights.
