This will be an overnighter for some.  Book your own accommodation at the Bruthern Inn Hotel (cheap basic rooms, shared facilities - men & ladies separate) or at the Camp Ground (walking distance to the Bullant and the pub, lush green grassy sites, powered & unpowered, clean facilities). 

There is also some B&B's within 10km or 15km, or so.

Whatever your choice, this is a book your own affair.

Sue's not very enthusiastic about the idea of a day trip and I'm not keen on forking out for accommodation so at this stage it will probably be just me...

Only six more sleeps.

I have booked a table under Michael from OzSTOC for 15 at the Bullant Brewery from 12:00pm on.  Latest count if 14 attending so we we should be okay.  But if you have not already advised that you are attending, let me know and I'll update the booking on Friday.

I have not booked a table at the Bruthen Inn Hotel for dinner; this can be done after Saturday lunch when we have a better idea re. who is staying and where they are eating - brewery or pub - or wherever.

Wet = Highway
Dry = Backroads

Looking to go out thru Woori, Neerim, come out at Waragul? Then perhaps more inland or highway! Not sure atm.
Wets are in the panniers. Have GPS , what could go wrong!

Weatherzone indicates dry to around Drouin, then about 30% chance of 1mm rain to Moe, then dry from Traralgon to Bruthen.  Good enough for me to roll the dice.

Wets are in the LHS pannier anytime I'm more than 100km from home.

Agree, but at this stage it's just the media whipping themselves into a frenzy, creating news, looking for an excuse to be outraged - if the talkback radio hosts are any guide, they will be outraged if we go into a lockdown, and outraged if we don't.

Nothwithstanding, keeping an eye and ear on news reports.

What a pain!
You could possibly have travelled home tomorrow as my best friend has some visitors staying at her house, they rang the hotline and because of the late notice of the lockdown and the amount of traffic out there, they were advised that it would be okay to stay overnight and travel back home first thing tomorrow.
But, I do wonder if Mr Plod would be okay with that advice though...  :popcorn

Should have asked for that in writing and to be emailed to them.  When South Australia had a six three day lockdown last year at work we were all given paperwork to state we were essential workers.

Might be able to develop this into an RTE over-nighter, again. 

I'll start another thread, but due to some AM commitments on Sat 27, we won't be able to get to Bruthen until 3:00pm or 4:00pm, so lunch at the Bullant won't be achievable for us, but dinner at the Bullant or the pub, will be okay. 

I'll have to check with the Bullant and pub to see if we can get some bookings.
