There is also a discount code for members if your shopping through the website

When they complete their order there is a area for "voucher Code" if they enter "OZSTOCK13" this will automatically give them a 10% discount on their order.

I ordered a couple of Ram Mounts from Southern Insight late on Wednesday evening this week...............

They arrived on FRIDAY morning................................ from one side of Oz to the other in a day and a half. :runyay

Agreed! i have ordered ram mounts for my car, but i didn't order until thursday so i will get them Monday or tuesday  :thumb

I agree the service is quick, but when I ordered mine for the Middleton ride I didn't get any discount, OzSTOC was mentioned.


Turns out Johnny Appleseed is way Cheaper...

I got mine through Johnny Appleseed, was cheaper and it arrived overnight.

I want to pass on the discount as you pass people onto using us, can you let me know who the customers were if possible and I will chase it up. Anyone who mentions this to me gets the discount so I am a little concerned they are saying they are not getting the discount.,

I have purchased most of the RAM products i have needed for Bike & 4x4 from Johnny Appleseed over the last few years....many of the items when i was looking were out of stock at Southern Insight at the time.

BUT, i just did a comparison on 5 products i purchased from JA-GPS Vs Southern Insight........(without the OzSToc Discount, what ever that % is)

JA-GPS $ 157.00

Southern Insight $ 138.00

These all without frieght cost......add now to this our OzSToc discount......well i need not say more.

Just about all the products I purchased were out of stock on their website, so you had to call or email and the products were there and placed back on the website the next day.

That's a lot of mucking around for the customer.

Imagine going to a shop, asking for brand X and getting no its out the back come back tomorrow, go back tomorrow ok here it is.

People aren't going to do that on every purchase, make 2 or 3 trips.

I've order two items from Southern Insight without an issue and they even refunded my discount after I ordered online.  I can't complain about the service.

I just got the following email from Paul:

HI Graham,

I think I know whats happening, your guys are just ordering from the website and after paying they just put notes in the order to say they are a member.  This is then too late to apply the discount. I then need to go into paypal and refund them money.

Can you explain for the interim for them to contact me first until I can get something setup on the website, that way I can give them the discount.  They can still pay by paypal but I will send them a money request and an invoice rather than them just order through the website for the interim.

So he is on and working something out for us  :thumb

That's my fault.  I just ordered a $12 1" ball last night and he just refunded $1.20   :beer

So he's certainly trying to do the right thing.  When you look at his website, RAM mounts are only a small part of his stock.

No good if they are out of stock, we have no idea how long we will have to wait, I would go elsewhere if I wanted an item.

I have actually been passing on all the clubs feedback to Paul, and he has been taking it on board  :thumb so we shall see what evolves from it  :thumb

I'm pretty sure each of the items I wanted were out of stock, I'd leave a message to find out how long they would take on "back order". I'd get a reply the next day to say he had them in stock and to try again as he had put them back up on the website.

It actually was very frustrating, all you want to do is go on line order what you need, but the way it seems to run is you have to go back several times to place the order.

well after much consideration, i am removing Ram Mount Australia off our preffered suppliers list, we have had to many issues with them, nothing personal, but we have not been able to find a meeting in the middle, stand by for replacement.

Well I have to say I find this disappointing, I just bought some more Ram Mount bits thru him & he could not be more helpful.
I contacted via email & was sent an invoice with OZSTOC discount without asking for one, I just mentioned I was a member.
Don't know what issues anyone else has had with Southern Insight, but I will continue to use & recommend Paul

I have had nothing but praise for Paul and his team over my dealings with him and my "Member of the Year" voucher.  My harley riding mate also bought RAM items and found the company easy to deal with.  Not everyone has had poor experiences.
