Ss2500 in 36 hour attempt starting midnight.
« on: January 13, 2017, 08:14:37 PM »
Right.

A couple hours till I set off on my 2500k in 36hr attempt.

Not 100% confident in this attempt as my pre ride sleep has been dramatically interrupted so not feeling a charges as Ai could be.

I need to do the trip anywayto get back to home for work so will not be overly worried if fatigue forces a abandonment of the attempt.

Will try for the odd update along the way

Cheers

There wouldn't be many hotter days to be doing this in Queensland.  All the best!
The ride is technically called a Bun Burner 2500 (BB2500) and is easier than the SS2000 because you have the extra 12 hours to get those 500 kays.  Still a worthy challenge, especially with the heat.  But riding through the night in summer is fantastic.  Just a pity the nights are shorter and the daylight longer.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
