Well going on being the scenes the North Queenslander's have put together and RTE on Sunday the 22nd of July

The Townsville Members are are meeting at the Bohle Barn at 9am, and heading to Port Hinchinbrook to meet up with the Cairns Side who are coming down.

Weather up there today - 23c top, 16c overnight, currently 20.1c  Not that I am envious mind.....

Don't get too carried away, it's not always paradise.  Cairns can be very hot and sticky, and Townsville dry and just plain hot.
Then there's those windy days they call cyclones...
Oh, and the occasional rainshower they call "The Wet".

ozstoc North Queensland. What a fantastic day, great ride, wonderful company, nice lunch. Chrislee, Rendog, RockyR & Di, BikeBear and Sabie (me).

Perfect weather, and a new world record set for North Queensland of ozstoc Shirts in one place (4). I believe Rendog has the photographic evidence.

Excellent turnout for a first time "rally".
Is the distinctive feature of FNQ line-up photos going to be "centre-stand" poses?  Must be a couple of body-builders up there!

I look forward to getting up that way again. The Eungella FarRide left me little time to get to see Townsville or get further north so as a ride organiser I will see what I can do :0

Harieg will be beside himself now.  I have never seen a goldie in the flesh so hope that will be fixed sometime this year...Inverell harieg???

I am not retired, just in between work and whatever else.. The single seat does not look original as the Goldie was a civilian model. Was the seat retro fitted and painted to suit?  Still looks very nice as more gold paint with the single seat.

I bought an ex cop cowl, seat and mounting plate and had a local paint it. The single seat saves about $175 in CTP in Qld.
I like the look with the single seat as it makes the bike look a bit more aggressive.

do you want to do some measurements for me on the steel mounting stuff
the wrecker in WA duded me and didn't included the steel mounting,  more BL##@ie westralians trickery


SAAZ     if you study the angles from a side on, front and rear view, it is VERY OBVIOUS that  the ST1100 WAS designed from the ground up, to be a single seater TOURER,
and only very much LATER did Honda decide to make it 2 up,
that horrible twin seat is SO obviously blo@die awful it just has to be an after thought

Hmmmm.. WA wrecker, that's where my cowl etc. came from.. and he didn't send the mounting plate with the cowl and seat. I had to get it from him separately. I wasn't real happy because he told me I was getting all the parts required to do the conversion.

If I get a chance to pull the cowl off I can get some measurements for you. I've got my bike alarm and cruise control mounted on the plate where the cops used to have the electronics for radios, sirens etc.
