Title: Short and sweet
Post by: northernnorm on November 23, 2021, 12:43:28 PM
Hi all, Well that didn't last long. Dreamt about owning an ST1300 for years finally got one in early June this year (2008 model) and after an altercation with Skippy it was written off late September. Oh well such is life, I'm healing well and looking forward to my next bike. I also have some left over fairings etc (fairings were removed for an upcoming service and weren't on the bike when crashed) for sale too if any bodies interested. Cheers NorthernNorm

That's sad to hear Norm,  but glad you are still with us to talk about it.

Personally, I fear Skippy and Ol' Man Emu more than I fear idiot drivers. Thankfully I've not had the pleasure of an encouter with any of these creatures - yet!

Any plans for another ST?

Thanks, It was my first skippy in 41 yrs so I guess i can't complain too much, only small too the little bastard just the right size to roll under the bike and pick it up sideways would you believe. I might return to the St one day as they're such a good touring bike. Finding a decent one will be difficult. Cheers

Sorry to hear about the roo strike Norm, I hope your recovery is as quick and painless as possible.
Hopefully you'll be back on a bike and enjoying the ride again soon.

Rustynutz might be selling one of his 2 ST1300s in the near future.
