No complaints from me so far.

I have had the 1100 version on my bike since November 2010. We tried the border run last year in August which was our first longish ride with the new seat so for the two 500 km days we did the seat passed compared to the OEM.

But we still use a seat cover for added comfort.

Have you tried a Sargeants to compare it against Alan?

At the time I found the gel seat on e-bay I'd only ever heard of Corbin. Sargeant is only a name I've heard of on Ozstoc.

I bought the seat 3 months before I fitted it and while I was still working in Karratha. Had it shipped to dad's place back in SA ready for move back to SA.

With the prices of seats it's something you have to buy and use until it wears out. The design of the Saddleman seat gave some height to the pillion seat and a lower more rearward position for the rider (compared to OEM). Now my knees don't contact the fairing filler panel.

The description sounds good (narrow front, sit "in" rather than "on"), but $102 for postage is a deterrent!

e-bay price quoted is cheaper than buying direct from maker

Ive got the same seat as Alan, I find it very comfortable, although I do prefer my single seat.
Postage is always a big put off, but when you look at what we pay in oz to the prices overseas, price + postage is sometimes way cheaper than any price you'd get over here.
Its the price we have to pay for the bike we love.

Bought one, used it while I had all but 25mm cut out of the OEM, then sold it. With the reduced OEM I am flat footed while stationary, sit in it rather than on it and can ride all day.

The Sargeant made a big difference to me as far as the amount of kilometres I could pump out each day. This weekend I will have Boss Dearest for the 1st time on the Sargeant pillion seat, which is way wider than the OEM, so it will interesting to see how she finds it. Since she was last on the back I have added lowering pegs for her and protection bars, so it will be interesting to see how she finds it on the back this time.

Cheers
