Bifocal Biker Shades

A riding mate of mine has just bought a pair of these.   They fit well under a helmet, have rubber eye cushions like "Ugly Fish" glasses, and have a small bifocal section at the bottom of the lens.   If you can ride without prescription glasses, like to ride with polaroid sunnies, but need need reading specs, these may be for you.    I borrowed them and could see my GPS and other stuff in the cockpit much clearer.

I could use something like this but I don't like the wrap around frame. I do have some road legal sunnies from the eye doc but they're not dark enough for me so I use the cheapies from the local supermarket. I only have trouble reading the small numbers and clock at night as day time is ok without reading glasses.

A couple years ago I asked about the night reading issue during an eye test and no help available it seemed.

I had my optometrist make me up a pair of glasses with my reading prescription in the bottom section and tinted in the top half.  Costs $300 in a decent frame, but just the ant's nickers for reading the GPS.  It's a simple matter to have the top half in your distant prescription for the same money. 
I'm considering getting the same without the tint for night riding as the frame in the look-overs in annoying if I use them at night.

I couldn't use those Bikershades jobbies because I need to rub my eyes occasionally when they itch or water.

I have for years now had 2 sets of graduated prescription glasses, 1 clear and 1 polarised sunny, from Eyres Optics in Perth. Get them through local optometrist, great fit for wearing under the helmet and are also Medium Impact safety certified...did try ones with foam/rubber cushioning but found them uncomfortable and the cushion deteriates pretty fast.
