The Tin Shed - McLaren Vale SA
« on: October 16, 2016, 08:08:26 AM »
McLaren Vale is the heart of the southern vales wine region, and just a short 30km ride from Adelaide.  It's a little town full of cafes and gourmet food retailers.   Eight of us gathered at "The Tin Shed" on a warm and windy spring day, and had a table under the shade of a big old tree and out of the wind.  See  http://tinshedcafe.com.au/   for more info on "The Tin Shed"      The food was truly magnificent, and I don't think any of us managed to get through the generous serves.   After lunch we wandered down the main street to "Bracegirdles" which is famous for chocolate drinks and confectionary, to top up any empty space we had left.

Thanks to Richo & Donna, Langers & Julie, JohnG & Kahrin, and Chris for a beaut day out, with good food and good company.

a good report Pete. Apart from the cross wind all the way home it was a great day.  This is the first time I have ever been unable to finish a burger.  The meals portions were huge. The company was great.  Thanks for organising another great location and ride.

When you order a burger called "The Carnivore", there must be an expectation that it will be a bit of a challenge.   :crackup

Thanks Pete, would have been a nice day for a ride; except for the wind we had up here at home.

I imagine a burger called "The Carnivore" would be something that would eat the person; rather than the person eating the burger.
