We ended up leaving after midday Friday and arrived in Ceduna around 7:45pm. We did pass through a few showers but the wind didn't help and sort of made it a little more tiring between Kimba and Ceduna.
I left Ceduna at 5:45 am Saturday while Heather stayed behind due to an injury to her left shoulder while getting off the bike at Wudinna. Just made it into Border Village before midday so all good for the FarRider thing.
I only stayed at the border for two hours as I wanted to get back to Heather though while there I met LindsayGT from WA, saw StinkyPete and Langers arrive and while at their cabin Bodø turned up and after a quick "hello" set off for Eucla.
After a coffee and photos with Pete and Langers it was time to go and as I was leaving I saw a red 1100 and had the rider been there I would have stopped for a few minutes.
Took a couple pics on the way back and got back into Ceduna at about 7:30 pm. Took Heather to the Ceduna Hospital and the nurse said it was more than likely just bruised. After riding back home today it was decided to go and see one of our docs at the med centre on Monday.

I'll put a ride report in the next day or two - MotoGp is about to start.

This morning I left the border, went to Eucla again and rode all the way back to Adelaide as I have to work tomorrow.  I too shall write a report but for now I am crashing into bed.

It was great to see a good OzSTOC roll up and meet some more members. Also enjoyed the ride from BV to Port Augusta with Johnny.
Sadly I didn't arrive until 3.00pm and missed Alan.
From left to right, yours truly, Yorkie, LindsayGT, Wombat, Debbie, aussiexs, johnnYTED, Langers and StinkyPete.

Unfortunately when this photo was taken Alan was on his way back to Ceduna and Bodø Glimt was taking the opportunity to ride a motorbike in WA while looking for a camel.

I'm a bit disappointed I missed this photo chance.  I spend more time in Eucla than I had intended.

So at what age does this "old enough to know better" kick in?

Must have been by minutes.

Heather is still fairly sore. Doc checked her out today. All tissue damage around the shoulder/arm joint which is not designed (for want of a better word) to handle impacts like falling on the ground.

Langers and I left Adelaide on Friday morning, with our FarRide of 1000km in 24 hours24 hour ride starting from Port Pirie at 1400hrs.    We got into our overnight stay at Minnipa Pub at around 1800hrs on Friday evening, and had a great meal by the wood fire.   Saturday morning was an early start at 0530hrs and we rode through Dark-O-Clock until just short of Ceduna, arriving at the Border Village at 1300hrs with 1039km under our belt and an hour to spare.   The evening at Border Village was spent with about 100 other long distance riding, chatting over a few drinks and a decent meal, and most were gone again by 0800 hrs Sunday morning.    Mark and I had a leisurely ride home via Steaky Bay (overnight), Elliston,  Lock, Tumby Bay and Cowell (overnight), and we arrived home at about 1500hrs today.   I managed to bag a couple more Big Things..   Mark had a flat tyre at Cowell, but other than that, it was a wonderful 2,800km ride in 5 days.  We missed most of the stormy, wet weather, and despite seeing evidence of lots of rain all along our route, and we had no more than a total of one hour of showers throughout the whole five days. There is no doubt that luck was on our side with the weather.    Once again, it was great to catch up with old friends and new.
