Motorcycle Larry MCL may be no longer in business
« on: October 22, 2017, 06:19:05 AM »
Based upon this post on the US Forum  http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?161063-Where-to-get-highway-pegs-now-Larry-is-out-of-business&highlight=Motorcycle+Larry  and the difficulty that "gone-cruising" is having getting in contact with them in his attempt to source highway pegs and tip over bars, it seems quite likely that MCL are no longer in business.
Gone-Cruising advises that the phone is disconected and the email is not reachable.

Following the closure of BikeQuip, this would be anotyher blow to ST owners, as MCL's range of high quality accessories will be missed by the market.   :fp

That's very sad.  We were only just talking about the MCL gear at Wooli.
Tragically, Larry was killed off an ST a few years back, which was the beginning of the end for the company.  It was his passion for the ST that got all the great things we have.  Maybe someone will pick up on the idea and copy the design.  Maybe not, as the marque slowly fades into history.
Just last night a really good friend of mine was looking at the black ST1300 that was for sale in Perth and I was all set to get someone to look at it, and it was sold.  So this afternoon we're going to look at another one here in Brissie that looks like a fantastic buy (except it's black!)   :grin

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

It certainly is sad, a real quality accessory.
