Hello from SW WA
« on: August 08, 2021, 07:14:03 PM »
Just picked up ST1100 (ex police) as a bit of a project to get back into some LD riding again following the onset of kids!   Previous Honda's  CB750 and CX650 before running a GTR1000 across the country a number of times.  IBA member and plans are to have the bike on the road again in Sept before a 8 day 6k run to the Adelaide Hills and back.  Full refresh has begun and no doubt will be looking for tips and hints from fellow members.  Cheers Ian

Hello and a warm welcome from Adelaide  :hatwave
If you're intol LD riding then perhaps I'll see you at a Border Run some time if not before.  When are you planning to be in Adelaide?

G'day Ian, welcome to the group. If you need accommodation while in SA don't hesitate to put your hand up (PM me) I live at Glenalta which would be a pretty good base from which to ride the hills. Cheers Mark

Thanks Mark.  There will keep in mind.  We have 4 of us coming across and also have relatives in SA and Family in Melb which gave me the excuse for the ride!

Its been a while.  Did three in a row in the early 00's and a couple before that.  Got to be 15 years since seeing the acrylic block! Maybe next year!

Current plan week holiday with a bunch of mates is still not fixed in October, probably the week after the school holidays.

HI Ian and another welcome to OzSTOC from SA.    :hatwave    There are quite a few FarRiders and IBA riders here at OzSTOC, and plenty who just love to tour.  As you would be aware Covid travel restrictions have put the skids on a lot of our interstate adventures.

Keep an eye on this thread   https://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=4634.msg49467#msg49467   where members have generously offered a "Bed, Shed and Get Fed" for fellow OzSTOC members who are travelling.
