Long time no post!
« on: November 22, 2021, 04:29:48 PM »
Hellloooo all....it's been too long since I posted back in...had some minor contact on the Facebook group but it's been a quiet few years from my behalf. So I retired a couple of years back, and the motorbikes took a back seat sitting in the workshop whilst we travelled through Australia for most of the years.
Covid lockdown in Victoria also stopped most of our riding and other activities when we were home too.
I also recently decided to sell off all my cx500 and cx650 bikes and parts, which was a hard decision but I hate seeing bikes deteriorate from lack of use...
So "down" to my st1100 which Sue and I enjoy. Rode today out to Jindivick ( West Gippsland) for a rte....nice spot overlooking the hills...
Ordered some bar risers too...
Hope to catch up on a ride soon...
Cheers
Chris Eeles

Welcome back, Chris!
Funny you should head to Jindivick for an RTE as we'll possibly be heading there for an RTE (as a group) some time in 2022...  :runyay

Oh, and if you're interested, we have an RTE at Toora this Saturday...  :thumbs

Great to see you back Chris, hope you're enjoying you're retirement.

You're not far away from a few members - JDbiker, Williamson & RustyNutz aren't that far from memory, and my BIL, who you've met also not that far (even if a Harley rider). JD also has a CX500 from memory.

I've been wondering about you, thought your absence may have been due to the deal we made and that screen for the 1100 hadn't worked and that you weren't happy with it  :grin

Hope that you can catch up with me and all the other members in Mannum, SA next September for the Nat Rally.

Thanks all...everyone on the site is super helpful and generous...Shilla I still love your old screen mate...and yes, I've had some contact with local members...
I think my motorbike interests got split too much,  with my main interest in the cx range which were my first bikes wayyy back...now they are gone I can devote everything to the mighty St1100 of course...
Unfortunately I can't make this Saturday's Toora rte but will try for future ones...
Cheers
