I know John Cadogan isn't everyone's cup of tea but he's worth a watch at times...  :thumbs

JC's earlier videos (when he concentrated on car reviews) were more informative and easier to watch, of late he's lost focus, too angry, too negative, too sarcastic, language is a bit too fruity for some.  I still watch him though, mainly late a night, put in the ear plugs when I'm wanting to go to sleep.

Like I said, he's not everyone's cup of tea!  :grin
While he does irritate me at times too there's no denying he seems to know what he's talking about and usually backs up his opinion with facts & figures...
As for car reviews, they are few and far between these days as he, unlike most other car reviewers, tells it like it is as he doesn't need to suck up to the manufacturers in case they "pull" their advertising...

I have watched some of his reviews but not lately. I hope he supplies the source of his “facts and figures” and that they can be verified by a trustworthy source?

G'day Terry, he posts up where he gets the facts & figures from...
Some of his facts/figures are coming straight from the Australian Energy Regulator, Adapt NSW & the Essential Services Commission, just to name a few...
As for them being trustworthy, who would know!  :popcorn

Yes, he backs up his statements with references and evidence, etc.., is open with his experience and qualifications (unlike many of the other so called experts and keyboard warriors) and he is open with who sponsors him or not (again, unlike many others).

I'd like him to stick to vehicles and driving, recent topics like Torque wrench: the real rules of engagement (extensions, support & UJs), 21St Century Slob Challenge: Why you should (partially) divorce your car, Everything DIY mechanics don't understand about bolts, How to die while arc welding at home: the top 5 ways, When is it OK to re-use bolts?, Don't make this mistake with your home shop air compressor, etc.. leave me cold.

Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

Cheers Michael!  :beer

I actually don't mind the variety...stuff such as the torque wrench & home compressor info I found quite useful (as I use a torque wrench on the mighty ST and I have 2 compressors in the garage) but I do understand some of the stuff he discusses isn't for everyone, just as car reviews aren't really useful unless you're contemplating a new car...

What's the saying "You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”?  :grin

He can rant and range for clicks all he likes and make a living from Faux outrage.

Meanwhile, we drove our Tesla Model Y RWD from Brisbane to Cairns, towed a trailer in Cairns and helped my father-in-law move, and drove back from Cairns for a total cost of $225.06 over 3,759 km.

Actual fire statistics of EVs in Australia.

Cadogan is just a typical shock jock, aka Alan Jones, Ray Hadley, Andrew Bolt etc. Provides just enough "evidence" to support their lies and mistruths. Any serious examination of their rubbish soon uncovers the truth.

Cadogan's recent rampant anti-EV videos,  has the stench of petro-dollars behind it.
