I was going to post a couple of pics a while ago but lost track of this thread and couldn't find it through the main menu so, I just waited until someone else posted to bring it back onto my "unread posts since last visit" list.
Here is a couple of pics of my Man Cave at our number 2 home on the NSW mid north coast (Wootton if you are interested). Our number 1 home is an apartment in Sydney which is where the ST lives in case you are wondering where she is.
haha I like how you've chained EVERYTHING

Couch wish you were right but that photo was taken in 2005. Spring clean to occur soon, like before christmas, just not sure which christmas. The hoist was primarily installed as a quick fix for my then parking problems.

1:27 AM time stamp- looks like an "all-nighter"!

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

From what has gone before my Man Cave is pretty plain, but it still does the job!

Bikes fit in one side, and anything i happen to be working on goes on the other, there will soon be a Motorcycle trailer in there hopefully  :thumb

Streak, a man cave has 3 basic principles that need to be followed for your structure to be classed as a Man Cave.

1. A floor

2. A Roof

3. Walls (Number of optional) to keep the floor and roof apart.

To these 3 basic principles you can add, but never take away....

That looks pretty good to me, Streak! A good clean work area with room to move.. and a good organised brain to keep the workshop organised and tidy.. main reason why I haven't added a photo of my workshop here!:D

Well, I had a bit of a tidy up recently so thought I might shoot a couple of pics before it gets messed up again  I never let it get too untidy though because I like to know where things are when I need them......I can't help it, it's not my fault, I'm a Virgo!! It's my mothers fault!! :grin
The carpet was there when I brought the place 6 years ago and I'm not sure why I kept it as it serves no useful purpose....probably because I couldn't be bothered rolling it up and taking it to the dump. :p
And if anyone's wondering.........NO! I don't tow the trailer behind the bike, it's bigger than it looks, it's an 8 x 5 steel trailer that I brought down from Qld when we moved here, I don't use it all that often now, but I do store a few things in it.  We also have a large enclosed double carport so we don't need to use the cave for the cars. The only time the cars go in is when I'm servicing them. The wardrobe at the back is where I keep my motorcycle gear, jackets, boots, helmets, etc.........keeps them away from those nasty white tail and black spiders that we get down here!  :eek

There are many paths to the top of the mountain.....but we all need to find our own way!

Brilliant answer!! :grin

Marcus, if you've never tried it then next time you want to put your bike on the centre stand run the rear wheel up on a board, 10-15mm thick, and see just how much easier it is to lift on to the centre stand. I usually take it away after I've placed it on the stand......but I left it there this time to confuse you!!! :rofl

Hi Couch, Mate you have solved a big hassle for me Re: the board under the rear tyre. At 66 yrs young I was fining it very hard to get the ST on the centre stand but not any more, your blood is worth bottling. Cheers Candywine.   :hatwave
