The shortest route is an FR12 for me.  Saves having to go out around the block like I did for Nambucca.

With Honda STs being the ideal weapon, it just seems the obvious thing to do, really.

The "also rans" are the Kwaka 1400, the Feejer, the Super Tenere and, of course, another Honda, the Wing.

I am deciding whether to make it a day ride, just depends on what else comes up. The distance from Canberra is pretty well perfect for that.

Then again, just having looked at my ride calendar I could go from Lake Cargellico straight to the Victoria overnight RTE in Tungemah - now that would work in nicely   :runyay

We best bring the OzSTOC flag for a sneaky picture  :whistle

I thought about heading sort of that direction but I detest riding on the Highway, it bores the crap outta me.

Anyway's long time before that date comes around so who knows, might even end up doing the snowy route to get there. Not  :-(((

There's the FarRally before Cargelligo.  That should be a hoot!  I'll be happy to be a Finisher, considering the talent in the competition.

your route E to F is a dirt road. Nothing wrong with dirt roads but you might not like it.

Across the river is all tar through Condoblin,  kiacto and Euabalong west, euabalong and in.

The road south of your route is tar and quite fast going.

I have pulled out of FR#29  :'(  as I'm saving myself for the following FR to Cooroy. I'm just not up to 2 FarRides  a week apart.  :grin FR#30 to Cooroy will take me back to old stomping grounds and the opportunity to catch up with friends in the area, before heading back home a week later..
Have a safe ride everyone, sorry to drop the ST numbers, hope to catch up at Cooroy. :thumbs

Thanks for that Gatey, I must confess I just saw your post.  :thumbs

I have changed the route now, so no dirt.

Hopefully Sicman is feeling better and is still going, or I'll do plan "B"

The HEMA maps (either the Australia handy atlas or motorcycle version) are pretty good for displaying road surfaces. The Handy atlas has more details than the motorcycle version.

I had better pack a few things and get going shortly.  See you there, or maybe before as my route crosses over a few others.  I will overnight it in Hay and finish the FR10 at Lake Cargellico.

Doesn't matter.  If you're in NT, SA or WA, then you have to adjust to midday EST.    :p
