They bolt straight into your existing casting on both the 1100 & 1300......1" wider, 1/2" lower....mine are made by Kukyran....where about $50US, and adjustable for pitch if you wish to drop their nose forward etc.

Cheers

I've all ready upgraded the seat to a Saddlemen gel seat and I made up a goat skin seat cover to go over that. Comfy..lol
Now have a 10cm taller slightly tinted screen.

On the list are :

Shelf for dash (for hardwired Strike GPS and camera mount)
Police light mounting brackets so I can relocate driving lights
Cruise Control but throttle lock is ok until then
Battery charging wiring for battery in trailer.
Speakers for helmet as ear plugs are pain.

plus non OEM items

Progressive Rear Shock (next on to do list list after timing belt change)
Progressive front shocks (do them when fork seals need replacing again)
Considering a change of colour or at least a respray in original colour.
Upgraded exhaust system when original needs replacing

Added

Forgot mention that I all ready have towbar, trailer, rear rack and Rjays topcase.

Thanks to Tipsy, my dash shelf arrived today so I can cross that off the list and I'll fit that sometime in within the next few days.

The dash shelf has been fitted so my GPS has a new home. Only minor issue with the shelf in place is that with my height I'm not able to see the warning lights.

I've priced front progressive springs @ $169 (pair) plus oil @$25 at http://www.suspensionshop.org/index.php (northern suburbs of Adelaide) plus installation which hopefully I can do in Jan/Feb 2013.

The rear one will take a little longer to do at @ $730

Latest stuff for me are, mirror wings off an 1100, new style discrete pan badge for edge of screen, more frame and body protection panels, waterproof iPhone system inc external speaker, radio, mp3 etc. thinking about fitting an led fog lamp alongside the rear stop glimmers. My boss was rear ended the other week so might install top box spoiler and stop lamp too. GoproHD coming via Santa mail.

Replaced the original wedge type globes in the side "locator" lights with 7.5W LED lamps. Now the side lamps make my xenon blue headlamps look yellow rather than the other way around.

The bike has a higher degree of visibility from the front now without having to fit additional lamps to the front of the bike.

Heather ordered new screen bolts for me and they arrived today. Cost $21.90 posted. They'll get fitted as I put the bike back together

and I'm replacing my grips with these hopefully in time for the rally.

GPS (TomTom)
UHF CB/Antenna at rear/P-to-T on left grip
iPhone carrier
Cigarette Lighter 4-socket block (in right hand side pocket)
Starcomm Advance Intercom

ChargeGuard Battery Monitor System
Extra RAM Ball on Brake Reservoir (just in case)
Throttle Rocker and Throttle Lock

Farkles to come;

Helibar Risers
Sheepskin Seat Cover
Spot
FenderExtender
Radiator Cover
TPMS
Heated Grips (for the 20 minutes of winter each year)
Goldwing foot pegs (I like that idea!)

The above list is also on my list of wants Whizz...
I've 1/2 made the radiator cover and have enough left over for another 2 to be made.
The sheepskin cover I'm going to see a guy this Friday morning to get my seat measured up. He works from home doing these for 33years. I'll try and pull a deal for the rest of the guys on here...

Streak,

I'm interested in the Police Light Brackets,  How much did they set you back (all up, freight etc) and how long did it take for the parts to arrive?  (I know you put a link up to the items parts list somewhere)

How much of the Tupperware did you have to take of for the wiring of the driving lights?
Cheers,
Gary

Light bracket kit Cost me $162 all up I think, here is the link: http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=6700.0

As for the lights, they are not wired in yet, I am mounting everything on the bike, as as I have phoned a friend who is good with wiring (as I am not) I will fill you in once he attended to wiring in the lights, Towbar, heated grips, and 12V plugs for me

Hi All,
If someone is chasing the Goldwing riders footpegs for their sted that ST2UP is talking about, then here is a place in Australia.  They are around $116.00 a pair plus postage.  I have seen them on ebay and other sites in the US and they are about the same price, except shipping will be cheaper and faster buying them here.   Just a thought for those who are thinking of going down that way.   I have just ordered a set.

Streak, I found the worst part about fitting the Quartet Harness was replacing the tupperware, but the rest is eazy pezy!

If you're still able to purchase OEM Heated Grips, and I'm not sure if you can, then they connect direct to the Harness, I know the Oxford's are cheaper but the OEM control unit looks like original equipment, and they do work very well! :grin
There are many paths to the top of the mountain.....but we all need to find our own way!

Got one, works a treat and fits in two helmets side by side or one helmet with a jacket.

Mine cost a bit more than this one advertised but I didn't hunt for a cheaper price.

One of the blokes at Ballarat (Ben- and scooter) have the same on but Ben suffered a broken bracket at the front of the box, where it holds onto the base plate. Mine is still good after 4 years but I don't get out much.
