I acknowledge hardworking Australians no matter who they are or where they come from. All those who have contributed to this wonderful country deserve an equal share of gratitude for their contributions. To single any group of individuals out for special homage only denigrates the rest of us.

Excellent site, thanks Pete.  He's a real gentleman, with a passion for evertthing he does.

I liked this paragraph:
"Based on what I know, and from my experience with my STs, and those of my friends, many with 10 year old bikes and 100k miles, the Honda ST is one of the most reliable bikes ever made.  I can't name a single ST, in the circles I run with (which are many) that has ever suffered a catastrophic motor, transmission, or final drive failure.  You can't wear the bike out.  I'm approaching 200k (miles!) on Honda STs and never had one run anything but perfectly."

He also likes some Beemers.  No one is perfect.    :grin
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Another revealing quote that we already knew:

"Honda and Yamaha went in separate directions with their sport touring bikes.  In 2003 the ST 1300 was introduced by Honda.  In every way it was a step up from 1100.  Lighter, faster, FI, better wind management and comfort, all the way down to the luggage system.  They hit the mark right out of the gate.   In 2003 it was a modern bike.  But that's where it started and ended.  For the next 10 years, Honda ignored the bike, only changing the color.  The bike in my garage is a 2004, the same bike you'd find in Honda showroom today.  I have a Honda bias, but I had to accept they had been left behind in the sport touring world.  Most noticeably by BMW and Yamaha, with Kawasaki not far behind.  In 2014 Honda cashed in their chips, and left the field by ceasing to make the ST 1300."
