Odometer reset

I was travelling home a few months ago down the M1 from Brissy to Gold Coast on my 2008 ST1300A. On departure my Odometer reading was about 199,970 Klms so I was somewhat excited (NOT) that I would see it tick over to 200,000 during the trip.  Imagine my dismay when at 199.999 it ticked over to .... 0 klms.  I was going to ask if any one else has seen this phenomena but then realised I may be only person that has a ST1300 with that many klms.   

On the good side I now own a 6 year St1300A with 6,000 Klms on the clock.

That is quite normal.  You will note that there is insuficient room in the display for anything other than a 1.  Honda has made it possible for an old girl with lots of miles to turn back into an unridden virgin.

Under our ADR's bike odometers need only work up to 200,000 before resetting.

Scary thought is some used bike dealer trying to sell a bike like this of any make as low km's; e.g. 30,000 and not 230,000

It's only Hondas that are a worry.
The others fall to bits before 200,000 kays.       

It's an incentive to keep her looking good and push on through the 200K limit, eh?

Many in the US have experienced this, but in miles it is not everyone's problem.
