Title: fork oil

Hi fellas . what is the best solution to use to flush the old oil from the forks ? thanks Brian

I have done mine on the 1100 this weekend, the old stuff looked as though it was from the sump, I used a bit of new oil, still had plenty left from 1 litre can.

I used petrol.
Drain forks overnight. (Forks removed from bike)
Poured petrol in (about 200ml) with spring inside
Hand over top and shake, repeat if necessary.
Petrol residue will evaporate, leaving nice and clean.
Do in a well ventilated area, of course.

would petrol damage the oil seal from inside
