Home again! :hatwave
Friend of mine dropped in here a few minutes after 8 this morning.
He bought a s/h XSR 900 Yammy a week ago, and has been checking it over for the past few days.
Decided he would like to take a light tour, and asked if I would accompany him.
HELL, YEAH! Great weather today (been stuck indoors for a few days, too hot and sticky outdoors)
We had a coffee, and hit the road around 8.30. Kept to main roads, nice warm weather, no wind, and light traffic. Port Fairy, Mortlake, Lismore, Ballarat, Ararat, (Where we topped tanks) Stawell, Horsham, and then to some lesser roads to Arapiles, Harrow, Coleraine, Condah, Heywood and then home.
Good helmet time. We had rest/cold drink stops at Mortlake, Ararat, and Harrow.
Google says it is around 8 hours of travel, but we managed to do it in 8 hours ten minutes including stops.
Could not fault his Yammy on performance or reliability, but he will soon have to replace the old tyres.
Total distance covered today, 693km by my speedo.
