OzSTOC hat to the US
« on: February 10, 2013, 12:16:56 AM »
Hi all-I saw this great looking cap in a FB post by Graham and asked what it would cost to send me one?? I'm a cap-nut and have quite a few. PayPaled the $$ to him and he sent it out asking me when I got it if I would take a pic and post it. Well, here it is. Pic was taken in Whitney, Texas. The cap is outstanding and I get a lot of comments and questions about it. Mostly like-where is Oz??? Then I explain it and it's DUH, never thought of that.

Steveo,
An Aspen Sentry is the little camping trailer that I pull behind my ST1100. Here is a couple pics of it.

Nice! Thinking about a similar type trailer myself. What does it weigh? and does it have brakes?

Steveo,
Weighs about 250 pounds empty and usually haul around 50 pounds of sleeping bags and food. And, yes it does have brakes. I have a Prodigy brake controller mounted on my dash. I also have some brackets on the clutch/brake levers with mirrors (which you can see in the pic with the trailer set up) that screw into those so I can see over the back of the trailer vs. using the stock mirrors which are useless when hooked up to the trailer.

Gary,

I'm curious about your Jacket and pants.  What brand and "model" name are they.

They look like they'd be quite effective in winter and wet weather.

I ride all year round here and the RST Comfort plus Jacket I have has proven quite good, and eerily enough also has fluorescent stripes on it.

Great first name by the way!  :grin

Cheers,
Gary :)

Yep- and I love that map cover built into the left sleeve.
Clever idea.  I hate looking down at the tank bag.  You could raise your arm to check without taking your eyes off the road.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Thanks Gadget(Gary)-the jacket is an Olympia Moto X All Season Transition. The pants are Olympia Airglide 3. The jacket is totally awesome. It has a water bladder that goes in a holder on the back with a tube over the shoulder and in the front that you can get a sip or two going down the road. The most awesome thing about this jacket is that I WON it from Olympia in a contest they were having. Not bad for a $480 jacket. I am able to zip the pants to the jacket creating a suit like hook-up. I have now had the jacket for a year and half and it's still like new. My wife, Carole, also have an Olympia jacket and pants. We believe they make a very good motorcycle product.
