Correct.  Would have got it without help from Honk?  I'll let you guys decide who's next.

Here's the original.

PS.  For those that have not ridden Lions Road, it is a MUST.

When it re-opens.  Currently closed for bridge maintenance.

:highjacked

If you don't mind a bit of dirt, you can go down the Lions Rd to Simes Rd and down through Lynches Ck Rd to Wiangaree. This bypasses the current 6 lots of bridge works on Gradys Ck.

My Dad's uncle was one of the bulldozer drivers who helped build the Lions Rd. The local bus company owner Mr Simes built Simes Rd.

Those are not Clouds to the south.

Well in that case, I got the wrong crash, when you suggested I would know (I deduced based on my location, rather than my historical interest in such an event).

Hence it's in the Cooma area, but I don't know the lookout, however I think I stopped there enroute Tallangatta to Tumut a few years ago.  -35.941917, 148.0806

I was obviously thinking of the 1937 Stinson crash, but of course that was found within days.

Like everyone else, I have hundreds of pix from my travels, but too few of them have the bike in frame.

Easy one for a change:

An iconic feature, the "convict" tunnel is at Dalmorton.

Nope- that's another tunnel.

As you can see in Williamson's pic, it's shorter and rougher.

Nailed it!

They're all easy when you've been there.  I found another abandoned railway tunnel near Amamoor, but you'd be brave taking an ST down to it- strictly an off-roader track.  Although now I think of it, I do have a pic of Ruby2sday at a significant point near it- next time.   :grin

Something tells me I have seen this motel but I can't put my finger on it.  What are the things on top of your mirrors?
